The patriot - 3

"Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's."
We all know that this is a reply from Jesus to a spiteful question. After the speculation upon it for years, I have come to understand clearly what this reply really stands for.

Firstly, he points out that the money is only a symbol which has no meaning in itself. Therefore, the tax is nothing to him as long as it is paid by the money. Secondly, he can fetch the money from the material world as much as he wants, in other words, as much as he needs. Thirdly, if so, he does not need to be worried over the income or the expenditure, just living in the spiritual world.

Working classes people are often afflicted by the economic problem because they seek for the higher level of living than they can afford. If we understand the truth as the above and implement as it should be, we will have neither anxiety for the future, nor disaffection to the government.

I think that the ideal patriot should attain to this level, which is a very difficult stage as well for the most would-be patriots.

(Note)
As one of the would-be patriots, I would like to convey my message as follows:
After the United States attacked Iraq, there are no choice but to follow the world's tendency, that is, strengthening the armament. Right or left wing - it does not concern very much nowadays. People for the government policy will naturally be quiet. People against that policy should be quiet as well. Just see how the situation goes on. We cannot go back to the past, we cannot cry over spilt milk.
